  10km U20 Women The race of the U20 athletes offered the solo of Serena Di Fabio (ITA) who went immediately to the top of the race and maintained the position until the end. Equally interesting, although with some technical problems detected by the jury, was the race of the other two Italian athletes in the race who accompanied the winner on the podium settling for places of honor: Rebecca D'Alessandro and Francesca Gloria Buselli.   On the first Saturday of May, the 52nd International Sports Walking Festival “Alytus 2026“. At the same time, it is – World Athletics Tour Silver competition and the first Lithuanian athletic walking half marathon championship. Half Marathon Men The international festival was dominated by Ukrainians: in fact the first six places in the race were won by Ukrainian athletes. Mykola Rushchak won the first place (1:26:16), second place to  Serhii Svitlychnyi (1:28:46), and the third place was won by Eduard Muravskyi (1:34:47). Although the country’s young male walkers do not have such ambitious goals yet, their performance in Alytus was pleasantly surprising. German Half Marathon and Marathon Race Walking Championships – Kelsterbach (GER)

  Race walker Christopher Linke (Eintracht Frankfurt) has won more than a dozen German championship titles in his career. On Sunday, he added a victory in the new half-marathon distance to his list of achievements. The 37-year-old secured a clear victory in Kelsterbach with a time of 1:28:04. After two marathons this season outdoors, this was the veteran's first race at this newly introduced distance. The podium was completed by a different generation of athletes: 20-year-old Frederick Weigel (OSC Potsdam) finished second with a time of 1:30:42. This was also his first half-marathon, as was Jassam Abu El Wafa (SV Halle; 1:31:35), who placed third. The two also topped the Under-23 standings.   The first Polish Half Marathon Race Walking Championships took place on Saturday. The event was hosted by Robert Korzeniowski, who once again organized a walking meeting in Warsaw, part of the prestigious World Athletics Race Walking Tour and specifically Silver Label. Half Marathon Race Walking Women The first to attempt the half marathon were the women, on Świętokrzyska Street in the capital. Among them was experienced Katarzyna Zdziebło. The athlete from Mielec chased down Ilse Ariadna Guerrero Rodarte (MEX), who had taken the lead in the early stages.   Interesting results for the athletes competing in the third stage of the Club Race Walking Championships on the Prato track.   10.000m Senior Track Walk (men & women) Among the men, Gianluca Picchiottino (Fiamme Gialle) improved his time, finishing with a time of 38:43.25. A couple of weeks after his half marathon at the World Team Championships in Brasilia, the 29-year-old from Livorno shaved a handful of seconds off his personal best of 38:57.96, set two years ago, and moved up the all-time list: he is now seventh all-time nationally.   On Thursday April 16, in  the  historic  city  of  Preveza (Epirus  area) 359 km  northwest  from   Athens (Preveza is the  birthplace of  2004 Athens  olympics  20km women winner, Athanasia  Tzoumeleka and the other Greek Olympians  Athina  Papagianni)  taken  place  the  first race walking half marathon  valid as Greece National  Championship. Preveza has not hosted an important Panhellenic competition such as a National Championship since 2005.   Half Marathon Walking Hungarian Gala in Békéscsaba. Walkers competed in the new Olympic distance for the first time in Hungary at this year's national championship in Békéscsaba. Hungarian championships have already been held on official distances since last October: last October, a half marathon championship was held in Zittau, Germany, and this year, a marathon championship was held in Gyűgy, Slovakia. The latter produced two European championships: Bence Venyercsán and Norbert Tóth, who qualified for the Birmingham event, and the former won the gold category competition with the best European time, a level of success that was last achieved 25 years ago by Sándor Urbanik, who won in 50 kilometers.
