A new section has been added to the Marcia dal Mondo website today, showcasing the profiles of athletes who have made race walking history.
This section was previously featured in the book “The Fantastic Journey into the World of Race Walking – History, Statistics and Key Players” and it is precisely these Key Players we wanted to focus on.
For us, these are the names of the athletes (men and women) whose achievements have made the history of the discipline: the Olympus of the heel and toe.
At the bottom of each athlete’s profile, we’ve provided a link to the World Athletics Athletes Home for those who want to learn more about their history over time, and especially for those still active, follow updates on upcoming competitions in the World Athletics Global Calendar.
After clicking on the main menu in the Athletes section, the following four categories will open:
– In-Activity Men
– Retired Men
– In-Activity Women
– Retired Women
In each category, athletes are listed by country and within that country in alphabetical order.
