The 29th edition of the Rio Maior International Race Walking Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, May 7, in the central streets of the city.
The most international of race walking competitions held in Portugal is back, after a two year break, due to the pandemic situation.
This is one of the best competitions in the world, being part of the World Racing Waking Tour in the Gold Level RW Event, which guarantees the presence of the best national and international athletes.
In addition to the international 20 km race, we also have the promotion competition with many young people in the race.
This year's event will have some news, one of them will be the athletes' registration process, which will be done through two digital platforms, whose links follow below.

We will have a live broadcast of the race on social media again and there will be, throughout the day, leisure sports entertainments for the public and population, in the central garden.
This will be a joint organization of the Municipality of Rio Maior, the Rio Maior Sports Centre and the Clube de Natação de Rio Maior, with the support of the Portuguese Athletics Federation, the Santarém Athletics Association and various companies.
