25/09/2022   The 63rd edition of the Facoetti-Dahm Challenge

This morning the 63rd edition of the Facoetti-Dahm Challenge took place around the track of the Montreuil Stadium in the suburbs of Paris.
The race was valid as the last race of the 2022 World Athletic Race Walking Tour season marked by the Silver level.
Start and arrival was on track.

Forty-three athletes took part in the race over the 20,000m distance, including 16 women and 27 men

20km women

The victory went to Viktoria Madarasz (HUN) who at 37 is experiencing a successful season.

After the bronze in the 35km of Munchen in 2:49:58, the nice Hungarian athlete won quite easily on the 20.000m track walk with a mark of 1:34:47.61 (1:34:48) finishing ninth overall.

But the real surprise was to see in second position the very young Italian Alexandrina Mihai who at her third experience over this distance lowers by 2:19 her personal best obtained on the road in Alberobello on 1.5.2022.

She was an even more pleasant surprise because a week ago in Brescia she had obtained the personal best on the 5.000m track walk in 22:30.46 in the gold final of the Italian National Club Championship.

This morning instead on the 20.000m in Montreuil she stopped the clock in 1:35:58.39 (1:35:59)

Third place to Jekate Morotvortseva (EST) in 1:38:13.72 (1:38:14)

- 10km: 41:12 (20:37)

- 15km: 1:02:15 (21:03)
