The sixth day of competition welcomes the walkers to Monaco on the occasion of the European Championships with the two finals of the 20km walk.

The temperature is ideal around 17 ° Celsius, with a very high humidity and intermittent rain.

20km women

Twenty-four athletes show up at the start.

Among them are Antigoni Ntrismpioti (GRE) who a few days ago won the 35km, Katarzyna Zdzieblo (POL), silver in Eugene both in the 20km and 35km, Maria Perez (ESP) the reigning champion, Saskia Feige (GER), Ana Cabecinha (POR), Clemence Beretta (FRA), Lyudmila Olyanovska (UKR) and Valentina Trapletti (ITA).

A group of eight race driving athletes with all the best (Ntrismpioti, Zdzieblo, Perez, Feige, Cabecinha, Beretta, Olyanovska, and Trapletti with these steps:

1km: 4:35

2km: 9:08 (4:33)

3km: 13:30 (4:22)

4km: 18:04 (4:34)

5km: 22:33 (4:29)

At 5km there are six left.

Maria Perez is already in the eye of the jury with a red card for loss of contact

- 10km

Between 5 and 10km the rain becomes more incessant and intense

These are the splits:

6km: 27:08 (4:35) with Beretta, Cabecinha, Feige, Olyanovska, Hanna Shevchuk (UKR) and Trapletti

7km: 31:43 (4:35)

8km: 36:21 (4:48). In the leading group led by Clemence Beretta, Maria Perez received the second red card due to loss of contact and comes off a few meters

9km: 40:39 (4:18). Lyudmila Olyanovska forces her pace and moves on to lead with a few meters ahead.

10km: 45:02 (last km in 4:23, and seconds 5km in 22:29) led by Maria Perez followed by Lyudmila Olyanovska (45:05) and Saskia Feige (45:06).

Unfortunately Maria Perez does not know yet but she has received the third red card (contact) and she will be stopped in the penalty area. The possible medal disappears from the horizon.

11km: 49:32 (4:30) with Cabecinha (1 red card, loss of contact), Feige (1 red card, bent knee), Olyanovska, Shevchuk (2 red cards, loss of contact), Zdzieblo (1 red card, bent knee). Trapletti follows in 49.36.

12km: 54:02 (4:30) with Trapletti reaching the others.

13km: 58:32 (4:30)

14km: 1:03:00 (4:38). Saskia Feighe went on to lead the race, gaining a few meters, but soon being catched.

15km: 1:07:21 (last km in 4:21, and the third 5km in 22:19)

Shortly after the passage to 15km on leads the group of leaders Antigoni Ntrismpioti who wants to repeat the success of the 35km, but Feige reacts and the two pass together at 16km

The steps:

16km: Feige 1:11:47 (4:26)

17km: Ntrismpioti 1:16:07 (4:20). Followed by 5 seconds Feige, Zdzieblo and Olyanovska, then Cabecinha (1:16:25) and Trapletti (1:16:25)

Between 17km and 18km Ana Cabecinha receives the third red card (lack of contact) and will be stopped in the penalty area. In addition, Maria Perez who was returning towards the head receives a fourth red card load and is disqualified.

18km: Ntrismpioti 1:20:27 (4:20). Followed by Zdzieblo (1:20:31) Feige (1:20:36), Olyanovska (1:20:46) and Trapletti (1:21:00)

19km: Nothing changes. The passage sees Ntrismpioti 1:24:44 (4:17) in the head. Followed by Zdzieblo (1:24:51), Feige (1:25:01), Olyanovska (1:25:15) and Trapletti (1:25:19)

In the last km the success of Antigoni Ntrismpioti is confirmed, who takes the medal table of Greece up and also gets gold on the 20km after that of the 325km.
