16/08/2022   Munich (GER): Antigoni Ntrismpioti wins 35km of European Championships 2022






 

 

The second day of competition welcomes the walkers to Monaco on the occasion of the European Championships with the two finals of the 35km walk.
The temperature is ideal around 18° Celsius, with a humidity of around 70%.
The start is unique and is given at 8:30 am and in the two and a half hours more or less of the race there is an increase in temperature that will be greater thasn 23° Celsius, while the humidity rate should be around 60%

There are 22 athletes at the start.

The Oregon 2022 athletes who are also present here in Munich are: Antigoni Ntrismpioti (GRE), Raquel Gonzalez (ESP), Olga Niedzialek (POL), Ines Henriques (POR), Vitoria Oliveira (POR), Elisa Neuvonen (FIN), Ema Hacundova (SVK), Tereza Durdiakova (CZE), Ana Veronica Rodea (ROU) and Mihaela Acatrinei (ROU).

 

- 8:54:21 - 5km:

 

In the lead is Viktoria Madarasz (HUN) for almost four kilometers. Her passage is 24:21.

The main pursuers are Antigoni Ntrismpioti, Raquel Gonzalez (20:33), Inna Loseva (UKR) and Tamara Havrylyuk (UKR) (20:35)

 

- 9:20:37 - 10km:

 

Leading is Viktoria Madarasz (HUN). Her passage is 48:37 (5km seconds in 24:16)

The main pursuers are Antigoni Ntrismpioti (43:57), Raquel Gonzalez (43:58), Olga Niedzialek (44:05), Tamara Havrylyuk (44:09) and Inna Loseva (44:12).

 

- 9:44:52 - 15km:

 
Leading is Viktoria Madarasz (HUN). Her passage is 1:12:52 (third 5km in 24:15)
The main pursuers are Antigoni Ntrismpioti and Raquel Gonzalez (1:13:03), Olga Niedzialek (1:13:35), Inna Loseva (1:13:47). Ines Henriques follows (1:13:56)
 
- 10:08:48 - 20km:
 
Antigoni Ntrismpioti and Raquel Gonzalez (1:36:48) caught up and overtook Viktoria Madarasz (1:36:52).
They covered the 5km quarterfinals in 23:45 at the moment the fastest of the race.
Followed by Olga Niedzialek (1:38:05), Ines Henriques (1:38:41) and Tereza Durdiakova (1:38:42)
 
- 10:32:26 - 25km:
 
Antigoni Ntrismpioti increased the pace between the 24th and the 25th kilometer and detached Raquel Gonzalez by about ten meters.
These are their passages: Ntrismpioti 2:00:26 (fifth 5km in 23:38) and Gonzalez 2:00:34 (fifth 5km in 23:46)
Viktoria Madarasz is in third position in 2:00:55.
Followed by Olga Niedzialek (2:03:03), Ines Henriques (2:03:30). Federica Curiazzi gains positions who is now sixth in 2:03:55 after overtaking Inna Loseva (: 2: 04: 05)
 
- 10:55:33 - 30km:
 
Antigoni Ntrismpioti has definitively detached Raquel Gonzalez and leads the race in 2:23:33 (sixth 5km in 23:07 which are now the fastest of the race)
Raquel Gonzalez follows in 2:24:15 while Viktoria Madarasz is in third position in 2:00:55.
Followed by Olga Niedzialek (2:28:02) and Federica Curiazzi who is now fifth in 2:28:26,
Both Ines Henriques and Inna Loseva lost ground, overtaken by Lidia Barcella (ITA) and Mar Juarez (ITA) respectively
 
- 11:09:00 - 35km:
 
Nothing changes for the first three positions, not even the pace of the three athletes who all travel at an average of 4: 55 / km.
On the other hand, Federica Curiazzi's (ITA) race masterpiece concludes, joining and detaching Olga Niedzialek and flying towards an excellent fourth place.
