06/05/2022   Rosario (ARG) - the third edition of the South American Youth Games






 

 

The third edition of the South American Youth Games is underway in Rosario (ARG), with a program of over thirty sports disciplines.
The Games began on Tuesday 26 April and will end on Sunday 8 May.
The athletics program started on Thursday 5 May and ended on the last day of the Games.
 
The two U18 walking events took place during the second day over distances of 10km for males and 5km for females.
 
 
10.000m track walk U18 boys
 
There were six athletes at the start representing four countries (Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru)
 
Victory for Jualian Andres Alfonso Carvajal (COL) in 48:52.57
Second place to Emanuel Apaza (PER) in 50:12.48
Third place to Emanuel Pereira De Sena in 52:19.51
 
 

 
 
 
5.000m walk on track U18 girls
 
Eight athletes at the start.
Six countries were represented (Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolovia, Chile and Peru)
 
Also in the women's race a clear victory for the representative of Colombia which shows us how the movement of the race walking in Colombia is always very active and interesting.
 
Victory to Ruby Dayana Segura Garcia (COL) in 23:48.00
Second place to Karen Daniela Litardo Chocho (ECU) in 24:22.30
Third place went to Jhoselyn Cuizara Luque (BOL) in 24:45:09
