Last week (from 8 to 10 April) the "Mayores" National Athletics Championships were held in Peru.
The races took place on the track of the National Stadium, in Villa Deportiva Nacional (VIDENA), on the unusual distance of 20,000m (50 laps of the track).

The women's race was held on the second day (April 9) starting at 8:20 am.
Nevertheless, the temperature was very high.
Victory for Evelyn Inga (PER) with a time of 1:38:14.75,
Second place to Yossy Caballero Huaman (PER) in 1:43:56.94
Third place to Brigitte Coaquira Albarracin (PER) in 1:48:17.79

The men's race was held on the third day (April 10) starting at 7:00 with cooler temperatures.
Victory to Luis Henry Campos (PER) in 1:27:39.
Second place to Kevin Cahuana (PER) in 1:32:08
Third place to Jose Carlos Mamani Flores (PER) in 1:33:15
