This Sunday, February 20, the Salvadoran Athletics Federation held the II Central American Walking Championships 2022 at the Ciclovía circuit, Constitution Boulevard in San Salvador.
Thirtyfive athletes from 4 Central American Countries participated: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua, among the categories U14, U16, U18, U20 and Senior.
Note that 4 athletes qualified for the U20 World Championship to be held in Cali, Colombia in August this year. The event was judged by International RWJ from Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and El Salvador, doping tests were also carried out as established by the World Athletics regulations so the event met all the technical requirements to validate the qualification marks.
The most important events were those reserved for seniors, U20 and U18. For the others, refer to the results link at the bottom of the page.

Almost the entire race was dominated by the three best athletes of the Guatemala team who walked together and only in the final did they fight for the victory.
