The results of the 10,000 meters of walk held on the track of the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra were excellent, with the victories of Declan Tingay and Jemima Montag in the second round (22/1) of the Supernova 2022, as already happened the week before in the first (1/15).
10,000m track walk men
In the men's sector, great result of Declan Tingay (AUS) won by obtaining a new personal best of 39:01.3, surpassing the previous one of 39:17.4 and obtained in Melbourne, in January 2021.
This performance represents the 7th Australian result ever over the 10,000m track walk distance.
Second place to Kyle Swan (AUS) in 39: 22.0 improving the result of a week ago (39:50.1, 15/1)
Third place to Rhydian Cowley (AUS) in 40:28.1.
Quentin Rew (NZL) finished fourth in 40:36.0
Declan Tingay and Kyle Swan also achieved the participation standard set by Australia for the Commonwealth Games
10,000m track walk women
In the women's sector, Jemima Montag with 42:39.2, showed an excellent state of form coming just 4 seconds from her best personal best (42:39.2, Melbourne-2021).
Second place in U23 Rebecca Henderson (AUS) with 45:21.8, also close to her personal best.
