12/11/2021   Now it's official: Khrystyna Yudkina (UKR) won bronze in the Berlin 50km 2018

Khrystyna Yudkina (UKR) officially became a bronze medalist of the 2018 Berlin European Walking Championships in the 50km 2018.

The Athletics Federation of Ukraine has been officially notified by the European Athletics Federation.

Due to the Integrity Athletics Integriry Unit sanctions that hit other Ukrainian athlete Alina Tsviliy for violating doping regulations in July 2018, her results at the 2018 European Championships in Berlin were canceled. Thus, another Ukrainian athlete Khrystyna Yudkina climbed to third position in the race won by Ines Henriques (POR) in 4:09:21, and the second was the Spanish Julia Takacs (4:15:22). Khrystyna Yudkina's mark in Berlin was 4:20:46.

Remember that Alina Tsviliy has already served the 2-year and 8-month ineligibility which expired on 4.5.2021 (our news of 17 June 2021: click here ) and has already returned to competitions by participating in the Ukrainian 35km walking championship where she took sixth place.
