17/09/2021   The history of the women's Olympic Games

As usual this part of the season in which the competitions are reducing we will try to continue to privilege the statistical surveys and the enhancement of the historical parts of the Marcia dal Mondo web site.

This week Sandro Damilano, who has been entrusted with this activity for years, concluded the update of the interactive reports relating to the Olympic Games after those of Tokyo 2020, which, as everyone knows, took place this year in Sapporo due to the pandemic.

The updated reports are currently those relating to women's competition:

  1. PDF of the results with some of the most interesting photos of the group and those of the three medal winners
  2. PDF of the history of women's race walk at the Olympic Games over the years through the photos and marks of the three medal winners
  3. PDF of the history of Italy's women's race wals to the Olympic Games over the years through podiums, placements and standings

Lastly, what we believe is the most important report that contains:

a) the individual score points in 10km (until it was disputed) and in 20km.
b) the teams points standings in 10km (until it was disputed) and in 20km.
c) the best performances at the Olympics in 10km (until it was played)
d) the individual score points in 10km (until it was disputed) and in 20km.
e) the team points standings in the 10km (until it was disputed) and in 20km.
f) the best performances at the Olympics in 20km
g) the aggregate teams standings (10km + 20km).

The PDF files are available in the History section -> then choosing from the drop-down menu “Olympic Games - OG” -> finally choosing the one that interests you.
