30/08/2020   Drunen (NED): the Dutch championships on 20.000m track walk

The National Championships of the 20,000m track walk took place on Saturday 29 August in Drunen (NED) to which some side races were combined.

An interesting participation also with foreign athletes who saw at the start as many as 14 walkers in the 20km and a dozen in the two side races that took place over the distances of 5000m for men and 3.000m for women.

We thanks Hans Van der Knaap, international race walking judge, for his collaboration with the news, the results and the photographs.

Obviously, since walking is not a traditional specialty in Holland, the results are not very representative from the point of view of the world rankings.
Despite this we like to see how athletes over 40 have competed for the title of Dutch Champion.
