17/03/2020   Rio Maior (POR): the race of 4 April was canceled, proposed if conditions improve in mid-June






 

 

 

 

It was to be expected.
Rio Maior also had to raise the "white flag" and surrender to a postponement.
 
At a meeting today of the Camara Municipal de Rio Maior with the local Civil Protection and with the participation of the Portuguese Federation of Athletics it was decided that given the current evolution of the pandemic situation of COVID-19, the competition on Saturday 4 April 2019 is canceled.
 
The Organizing Committee is taking steps to propose the conduct of the competition in the second half of June in the event that the epidemiological situation has had a marked improvement for that time.

Apr 18 (Sat), 2020: International Race Walk Meeting, Zaniemysl, Poland (20km)
Apr 19 (Sun), 2020: Hungarian 20km Race Walk Championships, Békéscsaba, Hungary (20km) - at the moment LOCs are not allowed to organize Chamnpionships in Hungary, but they wants to stay positive.
 
Having also being canceled the World Race Walking Team Championships the list of "Qualifying" Race Walk Competitions in 2020 includes the following "National Permit Competitions" and "World Athletics Race Walk Challenge".
