Molly Barnet Walk took place yesterday in Coventry, in the Midlands (GBR).
Despite windy conditions, Tom Bosworth smashed the British 10km race walk record with a time of 39:10 to take more than 20 seconds off the previous (39:31) mark of Callum Wilkinson set in Borsky Mikulas (SWK) on June 1, 2019.
The 30-year-old, who won the British indoor 5.000, race walk title in Glasgow last week, later tweeted: “Five years to the day, on the same course, was the last time I walked a 10km PB. On tored legs from last weekend today was tough in the wind. But your support has given me such strenght!”
Tom Bosworth's (GBR)victory was undisputed from the first moment of the race.
Second place to Cameron Corbishley (GBR) in 40:59
Third place in Tom Partington (GBR) in 44:43
There were seven athletes at the start and six completed the race.
