20/02/2020   Asian Athletics Association: Yang Zhongmin (CHN), Yeung Man Chun (HKG) and Koji Hoga Miura (JAP) appointed in Asian Race Walking Committee

After the election for the Asian Athletics Association Council in early April 2019 in Doha (QAT), the new board has appointed the members of the commissions and committees.

The new Asian Race Walking Committee is the one that has undergone the most important changes.

Among the Chairmanships of a Vice-President of the Asian Athletics Association (Gen. Muhammad Akram Sahi, PAK), among other things, there were three well-known personalities in the Asian world of walking.

Yang Zhongmin (CHN) representing China. We remember him as a member of the international walking jury in Doha in the last World Championships 2019. His preparation ranges well beyond race walking, also having the responsibility for elevation jumps at home.
In addition to Chinese, he also speaks English, French and makes himself understood also in Italian given his multiple stays in Saluzzo.

Yeung Man Chun (HKG) representing Hong Kong. It is the volcanic organizer of the "1st walk" which takes place every year in Hong Kong on the morning of January 1st. Yeung Man Chun, Echo for friends, is also an esteemed Word Athletics rave walking judge.

The expiration of the assignment (and the possibility of renewal for the rules of Asian Athletics) by Fumio Imamura, the head coach of race walking of Japan to whom we owe in large part the recent successes of the country of the Rising Sun for his "vision" in past years, has opened the doors of Race Walking Committee membership to Koji Hoga Miura (JAP).
Personal friend of the administrators of Marcia dal Mondo, Koji Hoga Miura is a talented biomechanics researcher to whom many interesting interventions in conferences and publications are due, and is the real novelty of this Committee.

The other appointed members are:
- Dr. Ravinder Chaudhry (IND)
- Brig. Sultan Mehmood Satti (PAK)
- Ali Abdulla M.S. Al-Macki (QAT) - co-opted
- Hamad Abdullah Al-Hiniw (KSA) - co-opted
