At 4.000m Ivan Giangaspero passing in 19:15.93 is in clear advantage over the second. The technical walk of the young athlete of the Fiamme Gialle Simoni was very nice.

Vctory to Ivan Giangaspero (ITA) in 23:55.22

Second place to Daniele Gherardi (ITA) in 24:28.59

Third place to Thomas Borzi in 24:54.61

2nd timed session

The second timed session opens with the quartet of the best in the lead from the first meter of the race.
Nicola Lomuscio (ITA), Emiliano Brigante (ITA), Pietro Pio Notaristefano (ITA) and Diego Giampaolo (ITA) form in the order like a train that continues without stops up to 2,950m.
The split times are (always the leader is Nicola Lomuscio, outside the track, with Emiliano Brigante in second position inside the track):
- 1.000m: 4:08.60
- 2.000m: 8:24.83

Emiliano Brigante is stopped in the panality area at 2,950m and the passage at 3,000 with Nicola Lomuscio always in the lead is in 12:45.2.
The pace is very fast and the fall of Giovanni de Benedictis's U18 record could been broken after 35 years.

The next lap to be stopped in the penalty area is Diego Giampaolo.
They remain in the lead in two, but Nicola Lomuscio has definitely sforcesa the pace and unless the jury stops, he should be the winner.
His split time 4,000m. is 16:56.13

Victory to Nicola Lomuscio (ITA) in 21:18.64
Second place to Pietro Pio Notaristefano (ITA) in 21:45.00
Third in the series placed at Tommaso Iori (ITA) in 24: 23.62 (after a stop in the penalty area of 30").
So third place overall (and deservedly) goes to Ivan Giangaspero who had won the first timed session in 23:55.2.

The mark of Nicola Lomuscio at the moment is the fourth seasonal world performance of the year in the U18 on 5,000m indoor.
