The 20km Turkish Championships will take place on Saturday 16 February in Antalya. (Spor Toto Turkish National Race Walking Championships)
The races will take place on the beautiful Adkeniz Boulevard, a splendid walk on the Mediterranean Sea in the south-west area of the city.
Departure times will be as follows:
- 09:30: 20km women
- 10:10: 20km men
- 11:40: 10km U20 (men and women)
- 12:40: 10km U18 boys
- 13.40: 5km U18 girls
followed by two races on the 3km reserved to the U16.
20km women
There will be the complete Turkish women's team with Meryem Bekmez (1:29:36), Ayse Tekdal (1:32:01), Kader Dost (46:46 on 10km) and Evin Demir (45:54 on 10km).
They are also entered:
- for Belarus: Nastassia Yatsevich (1:20:30) and Hanna Terlyukevich (1:29:39)
- for Kazakistan: Galina Yakusheva (1:32:59) and three other athletes
- for Ukraine: a team of eight athletes led by Lyudmila Olyanovska (1:27:09) recently returned to competitions after the suspension for doping, with Nadia Borovska (1:29:22), Khrystyna Yudkina (1:32:44), Mariya Sakharuk (1:33:34) and Olena Sobchick (1:33:35)
20km men
A large parterre of athletes with the Turkish team in full led by Salih Korkmaz (1:20:35)
and Sahin Senoduncu (1:22:50).
They are also entered:
- for Belarus: Aliaksandr Liakhovich (1:21:12)
- the whole Ukrainian team led by Ihor Hlavan (1:19:59), and with Ivan Banzeruk (1:21:25), Eduard Zabuzhenko (1:22:16), Viktor Shumik (1:22:24) and with the presence of Maryan Zakalnytskyy (1:30:44) who usually dedicates himself to 50km.
