In the first official indoor race organized this year by the Greek Federation SEGAS, an excellent result by Antigoni Drispioti in the 3,000m indoor walk.
The competitions were held in the indoor facility of the Pace and Friendhips stadium in Piraeus.
3.000m indoor walk women
Victory to Antigoni Drispioti (GRE) in 12:27.18 which at the moment represents the best indoor seasonal world performance (the previous best performance belonged to Meryem Bekmez, TUR - 12:31.08 - who had established it in Istanbul on 11.1.2020 ) as well as being Greece's new national record.
The result takes on an even more particular value as this age was his first indoor despite his career as a walker had been quite intense.
The 36-year-old Greek changed coach four months ago and this would seem to be the first excellent result.
Greece's previous national record belonged to Despina Zapounidou (GRE) and had been established on this same indoor facility on 8.2.2014 in 12:35.16
Second place to Anastasia Antonopoulou (GRE) in 14:49.79
Third place in Tzatzimaki Vasiliki (GRE) in 15:54.18
Following: Pappa Kiriaki (GRE), 4th in 16:47.22 and Vasieri Sofia (GRE), 5th in 18:20.26
Indoor World list of the season 2019-2020 updated after this compentition:
