18/01/2020   Kumming (CHN): Victories of Li Maocuo and Yin Jiaxing






 
 
 
 
Were held in Kumming (CHN) on Thursday 16 January 2020 high-altitude races for the Chinese Grand Prix of Race Walking.
 
The senior and U20 races were held on the 20km distance while the U18 races on the 10km distance.
As usual in China, participation is reserved not only individually but also to teams from the various provinces.
 
We summarize the most important results below.
 
 
20km women
 
Quite easy victory for Li Maocuo (CHN) in 1:32:12. This was good mark for the athlete if we consider the height and the personal best of the athlete (1:30:15 obtained in Suzhou on 24.9.2018) that in the  last season has successfully dedicated herself to 50km.
 
Second place to Ma Faying (CHN) also an expert of 50km who finished the race in 1:34:51 (personal best of 1:31:36 obtained in Huangshan on 4.3.2017)
Third place in Cun Hailu (CHN) in 1:34:59
 
 
 
 
 
 
20km men
 
Victory for Yin Jiaxing (CHN) in 1:22:54, also for him a time quite in line, considering the altitude, with the personal best of 1:20:41 obtained in Taicang on 11.5.2019.
Second place in Song Huazhang (CHN) in 1:24:09
Third place in Zhu Xiaoqiang (CHN) in 1:24:40
