At the municipal stadium of Kitami (JPN), today took place the second day of the "Hokuren Distance Challenge", an event that takes place over four stages and contemplates events of middle-distance, long-distance and race walk.
The second stage today included the two events of the 10,000m track walk for both men and women.

Great result of Daisuke Matsunaga (JPN) who won the race in 37:58.08 which represents the new record of Japan and the new best world performance of the season 2018 (previous of 39:22.41 of Perseus Karlstrom, SWE obtained in Canberra, AUS on January 14, 2018 )
