After the election of Sebastian Goe (GBR) as sixth president of the IAAF were held today in Beijing also the elections for the Council and for the various Committees.

Only marginal changes in Race Walking Committee:

a) in female quota members exit Sari Essayah (FIN) who had not re-candidate, and entered Maryanne Torrelas Daniels (USA)

b) in male quota exit Maris Peterson (RUS) and entered Jean Pierre Dahm (FRA), of which we like to remember that his father Jean was in its time component.

The CONSUDALTE (Confederacion Sudamericana de Atletismo) appointed, as was the custom, the South American member in Fausto Mendoza (ECU).
