On Saturday, January 26, also in Santee, California (USA), the National Championships of the 50km race took place.
As usual the US race is open and there has been a good participation of foreign athletes.
At the start of the 50km 36 athletes (18 males and 18 females).
50km women
The best result of the day came out of this race.
Undisputed victory of Claire Tallent (AUS) who won in 4:12.44.
Second to cross the line, but winner of the US Champion title, was Robyn Stevens (USA) in 4:34:24 which for her represents the new personal best on distance. The previous one was always obtained in Santee, CA (USA) on Jan. 28, 2017 with a time of 5:16:46.
Third place for Elianay Santana da Silva Pereira (BRA) in 4:43:03
The podium of the US championships is completed by Stephanie Casey (5:00:04), and Linda McGranahan (5:07:31).
The race was completed by 12 women and 6 DNF, among which the well-known names of Katie Burnett, Erin Tayler-Talcott and Paola Bibiana Perez (ECU)

Also in the men's race a foreign victory. That of David Velasquez (ECU) who finished the 50km in 4:08:32
Second place for Andreas Gustafsson (SWE) in 4:15:54
Third place for Mattew Forgues (USA) who then won the US Champion title in 4:27:28
The podium of the USA championships is completed with Pablo Gomez (5:01:52), and Michael Giuseppe Mannozzi (5:07:54).
They completed the race 10 men and 8 DNF and 1 DQ among which the well-known names of Eder Sanchez (MEX) and Nick Christie (USA)
20km men
Victory of Alexander Hurtado (ECU) in 1:23:45 with this result is currently ranked fourth in the 2019 world list on distance.
Second place for Jonathan Amores (ECU) in 1:24:00
Third place for Emmanuel Corvera (USA) in 1:30:34
20km women
Vicotrey of Anali Cisneros (USA) in 1:47:14
Second place for Celina Lope (USA) in 1:51:07
