Sunday 20 January 2019 at the Olympic Rowing Center of Schinias in Marathon (GRE) which is located a few steps from the departure of the Athens Authentic Marathon, the 50km Greek Championships took place with some side events valid for the seventh edition of the Race Walk Winter Cup.
It was a sunny day, but with a cool temperature for the Greek winter (12 ° Celsius).
50km men
Five men at the start with only two who complete the race, and with results of no high interest.
Victory for Konstantinos Ntentopoulos (GRE) in 4:42:54
Second place for Konstantinos Stamelos (GRE) in 4: 52.29
50km women
There were seven women at the start.
Victory again this year, as in 2018, for Angeliki Makri (GRE) in 4:49:30 mother of three children who rediscovered race walk with the 50km women.
Here in Marathon she also established the new personal best.
This is for her the third 50km after the inaugural one of last year (Jan. 14, 2018) always on the same course that had given her the title of 2018 with the time of 4:56:00 and that represented her personal best, and after that of Dudince (SVK) on March 24, 2018 where she finished in sixth position just under 5:00:00 (4:59:40).
Second place to Zoe Korkou (GRE) in 5:14:44
Third place to Nikolitsa Andreopoulou (GRE) in 5:43:20
Cyprus was the welcome news of the Championships with the presence of a Cyprus athlete, Sofia Olympiou (CYP) in its first official race and which ended in 6:03:60

- Dimitra Bochori (GRE) victory on 20km women in 1:49:57
- Panagiota Tsinopoulou (GRE) victory on the 10km women in 46:22
- Anastasios Stamos (GRE) victory on 10kn U20 men in 49:26
- Olga Fiska (GRE) victory on 10km U20 women in 50:02
Finally, interesting participation in the youth categories of competitions.
